• PUBLISHING DEPARTMENT (Return)
  
  The Publishing Department has the responsibility to support all other departments of the General Conference through the preparation and distribution of publications which present our message in an up-to-date manner. The leader and his co-workers should be professionals in their field.
  
  This department is responsible for:
  
  (1) Preparation and circulation of our literature and aiding in seeing that it is sent out in the most efficient, cost-effective way;
  
  (2) Constant awareness of what is going on in the book market, with the goal of making the books and magazines up to date and attractive in both content and design;
  
  (3)  Receiving copies of manuscripts of new issues of books, pamphlets, and magazines from the unions and fields so they can be checked and approved;
  
  (4) Managing publications and encouraging production of new literature in a manner that generates income and profits so the work can expand.
