BIBLE TEASER
The Bible has many parallel passages, such as the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17; Deuteronomy 5:6-21) and the Lord's prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4). In addition to various accounts of events in Christ's life, there are other similar passage, such as those found in 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings, which are retold again in Chronicles from God's viewpoint. There are also parallel passges which recount history (Psalms 105, 106, 107) and also the story of the apostle Paul's conversion. In addition to these, there are at least three whole chapters which are almost identical, repeated almost word for word. How many are there? Write and tell us your answer, and we'll share them with our readers in the next issue of Youth Anchor.
Bible Teaser in Youth Anchor, Vol. 3, No. 2, October 1998:
What are the six different things God's people are said to be?
God's people are: (1) a redeemed people (Exodus 15:13), (2) a purchased people (Exodus 15:16), (3) a separated people (Exodus 33:16), (4) a people of inheritance (Deuteronomy 4:20), (5) a holy people (Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:1), (6) a special people (Deuteronomy 7:6).
