Thank you letters to “Highways”

GUATEMALA
Dear brothers and sisters: With this letter, we wish to send you our greetings, praying to our Lord that He will continue to give you abundant blessings, as He has so far. It is a great pleasure for us to be able to send you the report of how the money was spent that was sent by “Highways” for the project to roof the church in Region 2, located in Guatemala City. The work is still continuing; and with our efforts and God’s help, we are trying to finish it soon. We want to mention that some of the invoices are in the name of the architect, a dear friend who has visited the church for many years, who was kind enough to donate 100% of his professional and advisor’s fees.We have pictures of what the roof looks like, but we need to send them later. The roof, which was specially designed to withstand earthquakes– because Guatemala is located in an earthquake area–is well constructed and solid. We are very thankful to the “Highways” Committee for their good heart and excellent organization, giving us their unconditional and total support. May the generosity of the contributors be repaid a million percent by our wonderful God. –Eduardo Chang, Guatemala
URUGUAY
“We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.” 2 Thessalonians 1:3. We are thankful to all the brothers and sisters in Christ who, through their donations, helped us to repair the headquarters building of the work in Montevideo, Uruguay. Now you may visit us and see what was done with your offerings. The brethren in the faith and interested people worked unselfishly in one form or another, some with food and others with manual labor at half the cost. The people who pass by on the street see the church’s name in large letters that can be seen by everyone. The believers worked like the reformer Nehemiah in the time of ancient Israel. I believe that this Reform Movement will continue for many years under the care of competent people who love the Lord’s cause.Christ reached everybody. “Christ took a position which was on a level with the poor, that through His poverty we might become rich in beauty of character, and be, as He was, a savor of life unto life. By becoming poor He could sympathize with the poor. His humanity could touch their humanity and help them to gain the perfection of right habits and a noble character. He could teach them how to lay up for themselves in heaven imperishable treasures.… And Christ was a joy to the rich, for He could teach them how to sacrifice their earthly possessions to help to save the souls perishing in the darkness of error.” –Welfare Ministry, pp. 25, 26.The headquarters building has a hall measuring four by eight meters (13 x 26 feet), which is adequate for meetings on the Sabbath and for local field conferences, but it is a little small when believers from other countries visit us to hear the message of the Lord’s servants.

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” Colossians 3:17. May God bless all who gave to help us with this project is my desire and prayer.

Our thankfulness is too great to express. We pray for God’s blessings upon you and ask you also to continue to remember the work of Rwanda in your prayers.
