Fulfilled Prophecy--
Do We Notice?
Final Part

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” Revelation 16:13, 14.

“After their victory [in World War II], the Allies took abroad from other countries an enormous number of documents, many of which still today bear a classified stamp. So it’s obvious that more is known about the occult background of the Third Reich in the U.S.A. than it is in Germany.…

“When U.S. Army historians cataloged Hitler’s personal library, they found numerous books on the occult, which Hitler had marked with many handwritten notes.” –Constance Cumbey, Die Sanfte Verführung (German edition of The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow), p. 140.

To see the origin and the many connections, we need to begin with a detailed examination of the past. That is the only way we’ll see the source of a phenomenon that most people today are unaware of.

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky

“Blavatsky, Helena Petrovna (called H.P.B. for short), born August 12, 1831, in Jekatarinoslav (Ukraine), deceased May 8, 1891; the most famous occult woman of the 19th century and founder of the Theosophical Society.” –Miers, Lexikon des Geheimwissens (Occult Lexicon), p. 75. Who was this magic sphinx of the occult? Where did she receive her instructions? What did she teach? What influence did she exert on her contemporaries and followers? Are her teachings still in vogue?

She decisively affected all present-day occult, gnostic, and esoteric movements. Her ideas flowed into the New Age Movement and strongly influenced it. She was just a small child who had hardly learned to walk when she began communicating with her supposed mother, who had died. “The little Helena appeared to be served by unseen forces. Things she wanted but couldn’t get came to her from invisible hands; she read the thoughts of those present like an open book, prophesied events that later occurred, etc. She was really a ‘wonder child,’ an object of admiration, and, to the superstitious, an object of fear.…

“On July 7, 1849, the 60-year-old Blavatsky married the barely 18-year-old Helena.…” –Holthaus, Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), p. 15. Shortly after she was married, she left her husband. On extensive trips, she became acquainted with various occult individuals. She traveled to the U.S.A. to experience the different practices of voodooism. H.P.B. once told a woman friend that she “met with her secret master for the first time in Hyde Park in London.… In the years following, the secret masters, or Mahatmas (great souls), were to become the key personages in the Theosophical Society and in Madame Blavatky’s life. Not only the secret master M, who later made himself known as Morya, but also the Masters Hilarion, Khoot Homi and John King shared their wisdom with H.P.B.…

“She studied the various cults and sects of southern Russia.… [In 1865], she traveled to Syria and Persia and became a member of the Druzes and other mystical Eastern orders. In Italy she studied with an unknown witch.…

REVELATION

The New Age Movement denies the existence of a personal God to whom we must give account, while it readily accepts revelations from “spirits”!

It can be no coincidence that Helena Blavatsky was a contemporary of Sister Ellen G. White, who we believe was given a special task by God to strengthen all who believe the Bible as His word to mankind.

Sister White described the battle between Christ and Satan as being behind everything that happens on this planet. She stressed the Biblical truth that Jesus is the only means to escape the corruption into which Satan has driven the human race. “Satan is well aware that the weakest soul who abides in Christ is more than a match for the hosts of darkness,… Only in humble reliance upon God, and obedience to all His commandments, can we be sure.” –The Great Controversy, p. 530.

Through the work of Heaven (Christ’s mediation and the agency of the Holy Spirit), Satan’s power over men is broken. But through “revelations” to Madame Blavatsky and others like her, Lucifer himself continually repeats his first lie: “Ye shall be as gods.” Genesis 3:5. It was his desire to place himself above God (Isaiah 14:12-14); and his obsession today is to infect as many people as he can with his own motives, to erase Jesus from men’s minds, and to make himself the source of revelation in place of the Holy Spirit, by whom God’s word was and still is imparted. Those who accept the first lie and play with Satan’s ideas are open to great deceptions.

SW

“On her next trip to India in 1868, she met with her master K.H. [Khoot Homi] for the first time. Then in Tibet she must have received extensive training from the masters.… She was taught up until 1870 and met with master Hilarion in Egypt on her return trip.… In Cairo she again worked with the Coptic and occult leader Paul Metamon.… When H.P.B. arrived in New York, she had behind her a 25-year odyssey in which she had become acquainted with almost every religion and culture in the world and thus received deep insights into the mystical traditions.…

“Concerning the master’s help, Olcott wrote: ‘One day in the summer of 1875, H.P.B. showed me some pages of a manuscript which she had written and said, “I wrote that last night on order, but for what purpose I don’t know. Perhaps it is for a magazine article, perhaps for a book, perhaps for nothing at all: Be that as it may, I did it on order.”… She said that she wrote about things she had never studied and quoted from books that she had never read in her whole life.’ The secret Master Morya had been particularly helpful with the formulation. Blavatsky received her information by direct dictation. Sometimes the quotations danced through the room on mysterious pieces of paper.…

“In 1875, H.P.B. received instruction from a secret place: ‘Instruction came directly from India to found a philosophical-religious society and choose a name for it.…’ ” –Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), pp. 17, 19, 20, 25, 23.

The organization was founded in October 1875 under the name Theosophical Society. The famous American inventor Thomas Alva Edison [inventor of the light bulb] was a member of the founding group. The statutes said: “The Society teaches and expects from its members a personal exemplary life style with the highest moral and religious aims; the materialism of science and every form of dogmatic theology should be resisted, especially Christian, which the heads of the society regard as especially pernicious.…” –Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), p. 24 (emphasis supplied by the author).

Thus the goals of the organization were openly presented. From the very beginning, its members fought consciously against Christianity!

In addition, the Theosophical Society wanted to assist in setting up a brotherhood of humanity. This brotherhood was a long-range goal, which could be achieved only through the uniting of all world religions. Here the beginning of a one-world empire with a one-world government, a one-world religion, and a one-world language was created–the so-called New Age.

In February 1879, when H.P.B. traveled to India, in public she immediately turned against Christian missionary activity. Later she bought property in Adyar. “Her contact with the masters intensified; in 1883 daily visits were mentioned.” –Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), p. 28.

Later, Madame Blavatsky traveled to Europe. In Würzburg, according to the instructions of her master (K.H.), she began the book The Secret Doctrine. Every morning, H.P.B. found more information for the secret teachings on her desk. Now there was no turning back: “The masters were here; they gave me the choice either to die, and thus be free, if I wanted, or to live and finish The Secret Doctrine. He told me how great my suffering would be and what terrible times lay ahead of me in London.…

“On May 1, 1887, she traveled from Ostende [Belgium] to London, where she opened the Blavatsky Lodge. The new magazine Lucifer became its organ. H.P.B. forced the establishment of an Esoteric Section within the Theosophical Society, which she founded in October 1888.” –Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), pp. 33, 34.

She led an unsettled life, traveled in many countries, and studied innumerable cults and religions. Through her contact with occultists, spiritualists, lodge members, and her masters, she was a convinced opponent of Christianity. “The theosophical reinterpretation of the Bible by H.P.B. was without limit.… Furthermore, the picture H.P.B. gave of the devil does not coincide with the Biblical teachings concerning God’s adversary; for to Blavatsky, the devil is the guardian angel of Christianity.” –Madame Blavatsky und die Theosophische Gesellschaft (Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society), pp. 71, 72.

Blavatsky’s pantheism

In this woman’s works we find clear reference to pantheism, for she taught that God has no personality but “is everywhere, in every atom of the visible and invisible cosmos;… around every invisible atom and divisible molecule: for it is the mysterious power of evolution.…” –Blavatsky, Schlüssel zur Theosophie (Key to Theosophy), p. 56. In the same book, she wrote: “We reject the idea of a personal … God.” –p. 54. She wrote clearly that she wanted to have nothing to do with this God. She believed that the Christian churches adhered to a falsified belief. In her eyes, salvation can be achieved only through an act of knowledge.

This type of thinking is not new. Even the apostle Paul was confronted with it. We find his clear statement about it: “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called; Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.” 1 Timothy 6:20, 21.

Through Sister Ellen G. White, the worldwide Advent Movement was instructed in time about the dangers of pantheism. Thus this doctrinal error could find no resting place in the church.

Blavatsky’s influence

Alice Ann Bailey (1880-1949). This woman was led by the “Tibetan.” Her other masters were Djwahl Khul and Khoot Homi (K.H.), who also led Madame Blavatsky. As with H.P.B., her pen was also guided. Between 1919 and 1949, she wrote more than 20 books with theosophical content, which, according to her statement, were based on the inspiration of her masters. “Thus she saw herself in the role of Blavatsky’s legitimate successor.” –Madame Blavatsky, p. 81. Because of her work and her founding of organizations, she can be considered one of the most important persons in the New Age.

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). “From 1902-1913, Rudolf Steiner was a member and general secretary of the German branch of the Theosophical Society. From 1902-1908, he published the theosophical magazine Luzifer-Gnosis (Lucifer Gnosis) and organized the theosophical congress in Munich in 1907.” –Madame Blavatsky, p. 84.

In his autobiography he wrote: “During the time when I was forming concrete views of the repeated lives on earth, I became acquainted with the Theosophical Movement founded by H.P. Blavatsky.…

“These conversations were particularly intimate with Bertram Keightley himself. H.P. Blavatsky livened up in these conversations. My dear host, who had experienced so much through her, told me about her whole personality with its rich spirituality.…

“Only in English theosophy did I find inner stability, which originated from Blavatsky and … was appropriately nurtured.” –R. Steiner, Mein Lebensgang (My Autobiography), pp. 103, 296, 297, 309.

“The luciferian gnosis of the Blavatsky theosophy and the Steiner anthroposophy are the same in this point: They give Lucifer an indispensable position in the redemption of man.… The luciferian gnosis is united in one thing: Lucifer/Satan is in an evolutionary, positive, spiritual truth. It doesn’t matter whether he is considered a person or a symbol for materializing forces or powers.” –Haack, Satan-Teufel-Luzifer (Satan-Devil-Lucifer), pp. 44, 45.

“Rudolf Steiner was an original thinker and researcher into spirits. He didn’t permit himself to be bound by the rigid corset of the Theosophical Society but received in these circles very essential stimulus for his spiritual course of life, which for well-known reasons he wanted later to keep private. Despite their differences … he venerated Blavatsky’s life work to the end. Through his Anthroposophical Society and the Waldorf Schools his concepts are offered to a wide public right in Germany and Switzerland also in our day.” –Madame Blavatsky, p. 88.

Every independent-thinking Christian may have his own thoughts concerning anthroposophy, or human wisdom, as the Duden German dictionary describes it. If believers keep a great distance from these ideas, it is understandable.

Mahatma (the name given him by his New Age friends) Gandhi, famous for his pacifist methods of fighting for what he believed, and Adolf Hitler, infamous for his cruelty in battling for his beliefs, both were heavily into New Age beliefs or spiritualism.
Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948). He was India’s great non-violent freedom fighter. The other side of his life is hardly known even to this day: “He called for the unity of all religions and protested against the claims to absolutism of Christianity. For him, Jesus Christ was only an exemplary man, but not God’s Son.” –Madame Blavatsky, pp. 94, 95. In London he finally met H.P.B. “They also took me with them to Blavatsky Lodge and introduced me to Madame Blavatsky.… I also remember that, under pressure from my friends, I read Madame Blavatsky’s ‘Key to Theosophy.’ ” –Mahatma Gandhi, Mein Leben (My Life), p. 39. The name “Mahatma” (Great Soul) was given him as a title by his theosophical friends.

Adolf Hitler (1889-1945). “When U.S. Army historians cataloged Hitler’s personal library, they found numerous books on the occult, which Hitler had marked with many handwritten notes. Among these books was The Secret Doctrine, by H.P. Blavatsky.” –Die Sanfte Verführung, p. 140.

Adolf Hitler thoroughly studied the ideas written down in The Secret Doctrine, which were quoted in short abstracts at the beginning. It is a book which “is rightfully [designated] as … the major work of the occult in the 19th century.” –Madame Blavatsky, p. 47. In his handwritten notes, it is obvious that Hitler analyzed this material extensively. As a politician he attempted to carry out these ideas.

“As early as 1919, the Thule Society carried the swastika in its coat of arms. It was a cover organization of the German order. Its founding can be traced back to H.P. Blavatsky.…

“In its formulation and content, the program of the NSDAP (National Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei) (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) was greatly influenced by Dietrich Eckart, a Thule Society member.” –Madame Blavatsky, pp. 284, 286. Members in this society, among others, were Adolf Hitler, Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler, and Hermann Göring. The publishing arm of the Thule Society became the NSDAP party’s publishing house.

“Dietrich Eckart, one of the leading members of the occult Thule Society, introduced Hitler to Madame Blavatsky’s teachings. In December 1923, Eckart said on his deathbed: ‘Follow Hitler! He will dance, but I will decide on the melody. I introduced him to The Secret Doctrine, opened his visionary centers, and thus gave him the ability to make connection with the forces.…’ ” –Die sanfte Verführung, p. 140.

“One of his party friends invites [Adolf Hitler] into a lodge, a secret connection of highly influential people in the Munich top echelons. Old germanic rites and symbols predominate here, and supernatural appearances in the candlelight make this evening a thrilling experience for a small circle of selected people, definitely exerting a magical attraction. Hitler’s mystical inclinations come fully into play.… Hitler is enthusiastic. The spirits appearing in this spiritualistic circle speak as oracles of this empire of the master race and speak of a man who, as an instrument of divine providence, will move up to the top of this national exaltation. In his very first seance, Hitler experienced the appearance of a powerful spirit which called itself the ‘bringer of blessings.’ Now, providence had found the man, the mysterious being said softly, who will lift Germany out of its deep degradation, and it points to–Adolf Hitler.” –M. Kobialka, Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas (Daniel Saw Europe’s Future), pp. 218, 219.

This statement was enough to motivate Hitler.

Unfortunately, a short conversation with his landlady about the prophecies of Daniel 2 had no success. For a short time, Adolf Hitler subleased and lived in the home of a believing Adventist lady who died in the first years of World War II.

“After his confinement, Hitler comes again into his spiritualistic circle in Munich. Here the spirits speak as oracles that at the beginning of 1933 he will receive the power in Germany without use of force. The nearer this time comes, the more critical and hopeless the situation of his party becomes.… Hitler despairs and almost suffers a nervous breakdown. Then he again hears the inner voice, now that he himself is a spiritualistic medium: ‘The victory is yours.’ After the election victory of the party in Lippe, imperial Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas president Hindenburg calls Hitler and names him imperial chancellor on January 30, 1933.” – Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas (Daniel Saw Europe’s Future), p. 226. The events happened exactly as the medium had predicted. This also strengthened Hitler’s resolve later to follow these “messages” impassively.

Hitler as a medium

“The large quantities of psychoactive drugs caused a character change. Rigidity, indecision, and unbalance characterized the effects of these drugs.… In addition to his being possessed as a spiritualistic medium, one sees in Hitler also a pathological obsession, which he knew how to skillfully conceal.” –Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas (Daniel Saw Europe’s Future), p. 228.

The huge daily number of amphetamines were prescribed for Hitler by his personal physician. This Dr. Morell had him in his hand. “In the spiritualistic lodge to which Hitler belongs, this doctor is a grand master and superior of Hitler.” –Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas (Daniel Saw Europe’s Future), p. 227. Now it can be understood why Adolf Hitler chose this particular unknown, insignificant doctor as his personal doctor.

“Thus Hitler came to power, led by spirits, and so he spoke in accordance with the directions from the beyond– without hiding this connection. He spoke openly about his ‘intuitions’ and about ‘the security of a sleepwalker,’ which characterized him. When needing to make great decisions, he shut himself in a room, paced up and down for hours, and conversed with the spirits–often so loud that he could be heard from far away. ‘Der Führer is talking to himself!’ supposed one who did not know better.… And it was always proven that he was right. The occupation of the Rhineland, Memels, Austria, and Czechoslovakia succeeded without using the sword, then the military conquest of Poland, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Belgium, and France. Hitler knew what day he would enter Paris.” –Die Sanfte Verführung, p. 294.

“The demons whose voices he hears persuade him that they are the sent of God. In his visions, he also hears the voice of a mighty spirit calling itself the ‘Providence.’ Hitler considers this spirit God.… In a small circle of his closest advisors he also names the day for his march into London. When at Dunkirk the German troops cast the English into the sea and the moment was favorable at the same time to cross with the fleeing troops and conquer the island, his generals demand a rest for the totally exhausted troops. After a long delay, Hitler finally gives in, and thus misses the last possibility.… Here Hitler listened more to his generals than to his ‘inspiration.’ Thereafter, the sources of demonic prophecy are obstructed.” –Daniel sah die Zukunft Europas (Daniel Saw Europe’s Future), p. 230.

“Before Stalingrad, the information stopped.” –M. Kobialka, Die Revolution im Vatikan (The Revolution in the Vatican), p. 82.

Now he began to make one “mistake” after another. He had no more directions from the invisible world. The contact to his mediums was broken off. Nevertheless, on the basis of the earlier messages he had received from mediums, he believed firmly in his final victory. In his stubbornness, and also perhaps supported by his dependence on medication, he continued to consider himself God’s servant. He became more and more helpless and finally committed suicide.

Hitler’s opponents

U.S.A. “In the time between the two World Wars, the doctor, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who appeared as the medium for ‘the gospel of life after death,’ belonged to the advisors to President Roosevelt in the U.S.A., King Edward VII in England, and the young Prime Minister Lloyd George.…

“The spiritualist, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle,… and his colleague Sir Oliver Lodge, claimed that the spirits bring a ‘new revelation’ from the beyond for the purpose of completely altering ‘traditional Christianity.’ ” –M. Kobialka, Leben nach dem Leben (Life after Life), pp. 47, 48. This is the present goal of the New Age Movement.

England. “As a young man, Winston Churchill had visited spiritualistic seances and made contact with a spirit. Then when he was a war correspondent for the Morning Post in the Boer War in Africa, one time he lost his way in the African bush and was rescued by this spirit in an incredible way. After that time, Churchill made no critical decision without first asking his ‘house spirit.’ The British press openly reported about that.” –Leben nach dem Leben (Life after Life), p. 47.

Canada. “Also Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King made no secret of the fact that he cultivated connections with the ‘other world.’ ” –Leben nach dem Leben (Life after Life), p. 47.

Russia. “Joseph Stalin drew a spiritualistic medium, Wolf Messing, into his close circle. A parapsychology institute was set up in Moscow, and ‘occult war strategy’ was studied.” –Leben nach dem Leben (Life after Life), p. 48.

Every important leader who had a prominent part in World War II had a spiritualistic medium who influenced and led him.

Looked at logically, the sensibility of such constellations is unexplainable. Only through God’s Spirit can we properly understand what is going on. “Satan delights in war, for it excites the worst passions of the soul and then sweeps into eternity its victims steeped in vice and blood. It is his object to incite the nations to war against one another,…” –Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 589. This statement, written in 1888, has been literally fulfilled. We can read further in the same book that “fallen angels and wicked men unite in desperate companionship.…

“Satan and evil angels joined with evil men.…” It is especially interesting that Satan and his angels are united in war and in “hatred of Christ; while on all other points there was discord,…” –The Great Controversy, pp. 589, 505, 506.

On the basis of this information, it is clearly recognizable that Satan stands behind everything that happens in war. All the commanders in World War II were led by satanic powers or at least were strongly influenced by them.

Which side could a believing Christian have been able to support? In those circumstances, which party would have been the “right” one?

Do not the current controversies in the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Kosovo) have the same dark background?

The connections presented clearly confirm God’s word. For the believing Christian, any participation in such horrible entanglements is out of the question. “Thou shalt not kill.” Exodus 20:13. “Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it?” John 18:11. “Then Jesus said unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” Matthew 26:52.

“Fearful sights of a supernatural character will soon be revealed in the heavens, in token of the power of miracle-working demons. The spirits of devils will go forth to the kings of the earth and to the whole world, to fasten them in deception, and urge them on to unite with Satan in his last struggle against the government of heaven. By these agencies, rulers and subjects will be alike deceived.…

“Satan has long been preparing for his final effort to deceive the world.… Little by little he has prepared the way for his masterpiece of deception in the development of spiritualism. He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs; but it will be reached in the last remnant of time.… Except those who are kept by the power of God, through faith in His word, the whole world will be swept into the ranks of this delusion.” –The Great Controversy, pp. 624, 561, 562.

If we say today: “The end is coming! The shaking is coming! The judgment is coming! The last signs in world history are coming!” we’re limping far behind the events. The end, the shaking, the judgment, the last signs in world history are already here. We are right in the middle of them.

Let us ask God for the support of the Holy Spirit so we may belong to those who are ready.

–Helmut Welker, Germany
