Project of adoption 2006 - 2007
“... Jesus said, Suffer little
children, and
forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom
of heaven.
And he laid [his] hands on them, and departed thence.”
Matthew 19:14, 15
Since the last visit to Central America with our co-worker Gustavo Castellanos in order to see the damages caused by Hurricane Stan, many needs have come up in the countries affected by this hurricane. Considering that many families live in sheer misery and have many children, we have thought, in some cases, to adopt one or two children in one family so as to secure at least food for the whole family. With the support of the local Good Samaritan co-workers this system could constantly provide food to the families in most need.
In the year 2006, the Good Samaritan has taken care of the many requests that arrived from various countries for adoption, which we practice in the following way:
1. Adoption of a poor child to pay for his school fees.
2. Adoption to supply school fees and food for orphans.
3. Adoption to supply school fees and food for the whole family when the mother is a widow or one of the parents is handicapped.
4. Below there is a list of the countries that have requested any of the three kinds of adoption.
Cost of the various types of adoption in several countries

Several persons or families can get together and agree on any type of adoption they may want to support. The donations for this purpose will be joined to others of the kind to reach the necessary amount.
Hydraulic Project
We inform you that thanks to the permission granted by the mayors of Casalguidi and Casalbuttano (Italy), we could set up a stand of the Good Samaritan Onlus. Supported by voluntaries, we could make our work known and had the possibility to collect funds. The project presented in both market-places was to supply the population of Las Minas, in Guatemala, with water. The sum of € 12.500 is needed to complete this project and so far we have gathered € 8.000. We are very thankful to whoever wants to generously help us to reach the requested sum and finish this project.
We avail ourselves of the opportunity to greet you and tell you that in our next report we shall provide further information about the work done and the projects that have been fulfilled in the year 2006.
We are very grateful for what has been achieved in 2005 and we thank all those who so generously have helped our various projects in 2006. We joyfully expect your co-operation and support also in the future.
